Ben suggested Jefferson as a place to visit in East Texas. I am here for two days and am heading out onto the Lake O’ Pines for a wee sail tomorrow. This is a beautiful place and I foresee many photos. I am near the border with Louisiana but reluctant to leave Texas as it is such a cool place. Went for a quick pint tonight and met…yes you guessed…Justin, a US Marshal in charge of this area. Got some good ideas re the local area and he is from Oklahoma so good info for there too. Update tomorrow with photos.
