I am now heading south and back in North Carolina. Taking Highway 12 south
on the Outer Banks. This is a thin strip of land that skirts the coast and
is amazing. It is joined by causeways and bridges and it takes two ferry
journeys to complete. Throughout its length has the most stunning golden
sandy beaches and quaint towns. I am on Ocracoke Island where I catch the
ferry at 2pm tomorrow for the 2.5 hour journey back to the mainland. The
sun is shining and I am looking at a beautiful sunset over the bay (and
sipping a nice beer). Altogether this is another 'must see' if you are on
the east coast. Thanks to Michael and Margaret from New York State for
their donation to the charity.
